The Director of Cable Bay Consulting is Neil Mumby (B.soc.Sci (Hons) Resource and Environmental Planning, MISOCARP and MNZPI). Neil has over 20 years of experience in the planning, land use, and land use – transport integration fields. Born in the Far North of New Zealand, he commenced his career with local government in New Zealand, and then moved into the consultancy environment.
Since that time, Neil has undertaken a wide range of projects, both nationally and internationally. His experience in New Zealand includes leading multidisciplinary strategic studies, Environment Court appearances, and Expert Witness roles at local hearings, leading structure plans and plan change processes, as well as preparing and reviewing numerous consent applications for both government and private sector clients throughout New Zealand.
When previously based in Hong Kong and Singapore, Neil has also worked extensively overseas and has undertaken services for international aid agencies, government departments and private sector clients throughout Asia in a wide variety of planning and land use -transport integration roles.
Married to Belle, Neil when he is not involved in projects, enjoys the terrific lifestyle benefits that Northland has to offer.
